Out with a few friends and heard there was a new bar recently opened so thought we'd check it out.
The bar looks a lot smarter and "up market" than it's predecessor, Bablylon.
Once we had negotiated the two doormen, I was quite surprised to see another two standing guard inside the bar. My next surprise was to hear that they didn't serve anything on tap and is was all bottles, spirits, cocktails and wine.
When we arrived, the doormen and staff almost outnumbered the number of customers, but during the short time we were there it did seem to get slightly busier.
We had 3 bottles of Corona (£3.25 each) and a sourz and lemonade (@£2.90).
Quite dark inside, with lots of mirrors and discreet coloured lighting. Loud music from the DJ and special offer cocktails.
All in all a great improvement on what came before, but having said that, not really my kind of bar.
Pro: Better than what was there before
Con: No beer on tap.
