Friday night out with a few lads and we decided to pay a visit to an old favourite.
Most surprised to see a familiar face behind the bar, only to find that the bar was under new management from the previous day.
Due to the handover the previous day and late arrival of the dray on that morning, the usual excellent choice of real ales and ciders was restricted to just 2 ales and 1 cider, which soon became 1 of each.
I had an excellent pint of Hob Goblin and two of my friends had the last of the Cumberland. The fourth had a decent pint of fizzy stuff (lager).
Nice atmosphere and relatively busy and a worthwhile stop off on our evening walk.
I'm sure any negative points, not that there are/were many, will be ironed out fairly swiftly over the upcoming weeks under the new management.

Pro: My kind of pub - love the traditional pub any day
Con: Not the usual excellent choice of real ales, but due to mitigating circumstances.
