Part of the Head of Steam group of bars and pubs
History
Built in 1856 - Originally and for a good portion of it's life was a hotel, with guest rooms on the 1st and attic floors.
Part of the first floor was also at one time a nightclub.
When the current operators, The Head of Steam Company, took over, it is said the contractors dealing with the renovation, had to remove almost a meter of decomposed pigeons and pigeon droppings, just to give some indication of how much work has been put into the place.
