Currently Closed Bars and Pubs

There are, are any one time, always a number of bars and pubs, that for whatever reason are closed, either temporarily or permanently.  Some of these bars may simply be under renovation, others awaiting new tenants / managers and a few have been closed for longer than I can remember.  As long as the building is still standing and still has signage indicating it may be revived one day, then it will be stored here until it is up and running again, with or without a new name.  As and when the building is demolished or an obvious change of use has been applied, the venue will be moved to the "history" section of the site, where you can go and browse through pub names and buildings from the distant and not so distant past.
